Obituary for Edna M Batie

Edna "Mae" Batie expectantly passed away April 30, 2021. She was born on March 2,, 1951 to her two loving parents Florene and Jodie Starks (Deceased) in Ripley, Mississippi, where she later met and married her husband Charles E. Batie (deceased) they had their first child then later relocated to Toledo, Ohio where they had three more children. She began working at Brookhaven for 30 years until she retired. She had such a warm and loving spirit. Very strong woman that most would say.

She leaves behind sisters and brothers: Joan Alexander (Brodie, Deceased), Mar Holland, Troy Starks, (Bessie), Glenda Dye (Johnny, Deceased), Gracie, Bobbie, Betty Hatch, Wylie Starks, Martha Starks (deceased), Wdgar Alexander, Evon Cox. Children: Charles Franklin Batie, Desiree Brown (john), Daryl Batie (Chelle), Cheryl Batie (Damon). Grand Children: Sharnetita Carter, Quinesha Carter, Sahwn Phelps, Alacia Batie, Jevon Bowen, Tyree Bowen, Aniyah Batie, Jayvion Batie. Great Grand Children: ReSean Thornton, Harmony Varter, Everion Peterson.

She Loved going to church, doing crossword puzzles, Black Walnut ice cream and Popeyes chicken, but most all she loved God and her family. She definitely the glue to the family a very strong and loving women who will be missed deeply by friends and family who loved her very much.
