Obituary for Doretha Holmes
Doretha LaBiche-Holmes, 74, passed away, November 27, 2020, at her home. She was born to Garfield and Olivia LaBiche, in Hammond, Louisiana. She was one of fourteen children.
Doretha attended Fulton Elementary in Louisiana and made her journey to Toledo in her teens. She was a wife, mother, homemaker, grandmother and great grandmother.
Doretha loved gardening, listening to blues and gospel, especially Lee Williams. She loved watching Nigerian movies on her tablet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Holmes, Sr. and brother, Albert LaBiche.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children Janice Holmes, James Holmes Jr, Carolyn Holmes, Willie(Ashleigh) Holmes; Grandchildren Travis, Davon, DeAunta, Brandon, Raveen, Kendra, Koren; Great-grandchildren Aiden, DeAunta Jr, Kay'Lynn, Samarah and Surrya. Along with a host of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
