Obituary for Devonte Demon Brown

Devonte’ Demon Brown was born January 28, 1999 in Toledo Ohio. He was born to Shaneka Horton and Kennith Brown both of Toledo. Devonte’ was an affectionate young man with a huge personality. He was loving, caring, and possessed a smile that would melt anyone’s heart. He told jokes all the time just to see people smile. He loved spending time with family, always paying special attention to the younger children as they all looked up to him. He was momma’s boy as a kid until he grew older, at which time he then took to granny, forgetting all about, his “momma”. Devonte’ loved food! His nickname should have been “Mikey”, as he would eat anything and try anything at least once! He was also an animal lover. He often negotiated to keep strays whenever he found them and brought them home. Of course the answer was always no. He would pout for awhile and beg some more. The answer was still no!

Devonte’ was very athletic. He liked football and often played in nearby fields with his brother and close friends. However, his passion was basketball. He could be seen shooting around anywhere he could find a basketball rim. He played on several recreational teams around the city, often traveling out of town for tournaments and games. He didn’t always win, but he loved every minute of it. Devonte’ had several hobbies and interests. He loved to draw pictures of random things and give them away as gifts on special occasions, as tokens of his love. He took a special interest in Egyptian culture, how they lived and how pyramids were built. This was especially important to him as he was very much interested in architecture.Devonte’ received his diploma at the age of 20, making his family very proud of him. He was so very happy the day of graduation because he’d made his family smile once more.

Devonte’ transitioned this life February 6, 2021.
