Denise Harris was born on September 22, 1962 and went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on June 28, 2020. Denise was generous and loving with her time and her wisdom. She loved children and she loved her family. If you had children, she became an Aunt to your children. She loved to laugh and was a loyal friend. She was quiet and reserved but, she was always ready for an adventure. She loved to travel and go to new places.

She worked for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years and was an active employee. She attended Cedar Creek Church and knew Jesus as her personal Savior.

She leaves to mourn her husband, Victor Harris, their daughter Julia and her stepdaughters Ariel and Thelma; her parents, John and Winifred Fowler and her siblings Charles, (Laura) Sharon, Christopher and James and many nieces and nephews, friends and family. We will miss her but, we are all grateful to have known her.

This poem reflects my feeling for Denise:
I wish I could see you one more time come walking through my door but I know that is impossible. I will hear your voice no more.
I know you can feel my tears and you don't want me to cry; yet my heart is broken because I can't understand why someone so precious had to die.
I pray that God will give me strength to somehow get me through as I struggle with this heartache that was caused by losing you.

I love you Denise Harris. You will be in my heart forever.

I remember training you at the post office. From that point on we were friends, a part of the family. You were there for holidays, family reunions and birthdays. You picked my daughter up from school for me when I had to work over. I will never forget you and will miss my friend!

Mrs. Denise would pick me up from grade school everyday. She would always show me a great time and I loved being around her. I can't believe she is gone. I will miss you!

Rest in perfect peace Aunt Denise. I will always cherish and remember your smile, soft voice and good times we had at family reunions. Your sudden untimely passing has shocked and brought all of us grief, but we are confident in the hope in the ressurection of our Lord Jesus Christ, that just as He died and rose from the grave, so will we all who believe in Him. Rest in perfect peace and may light perpetual shine on you. My love and prayers to Uncle Victor, Julia, your parents, siblings and all your loved ones.
