Denise was born to Dorothy and Theodore Syph in Toledo, Ohio in July 21, 1952. She married Roshell Butler Sr. on November 4, 1974. Then she attended Toledo Academy of Beauty Culture where she graduated to continue her journey with hair for over 40 years.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Dorothy Syph; brother, Theodore "Butch" Syph; sister, Donita Syph-Jones; sons, Orlando Syph and Roshell "Juney" Butler Jr.
She laves to cherish her memory, her husband of 45 years, Roshell Butler Sr.; son, Larry Syph; daughters, LaVena Syph and Altaise Syph; daughter-in-law, Kyra Butler; special grandkids, Antaneshia, Jazeem and Junius; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Treva Syph, Judy Syph, Theresa Syph, Michelle Syph, Betty Syph, Theodorsha Syph, Venus Lockett; brothers, Theodore Smith, Kevin Syph, Lamar Young; and special friend, Denise Easterly.
