Obituary for Delores Maggett

Delores (Baxter) Maggett was born on Saturday, September 5, 1931 in Wynne, Arkansas to Frank and Irene (Polk) Baxter. Who both preceded her in death. She left her earthly home on August 10, 2023.

In 1951 Delores and Gay Maggett married and to this union were six children.

Delores started reading at the age of three, she attended Cross County School in Wynne, Arkansas. Where she excelled as a scholar.

Delores was employed at Lena Mac Café in Wynne, Arkansas. Delores moved to Toledo in 1968 and was employed at George's Grill and Rome Cleaner.

Delores had a strong constitution. But those who were close to her understood her heart. She did what she wanted to do and said exactly what she meant in just a few words.

Delores loved her family and her dog Essence. She loved watching Westerns, Soap Operas, Law & Order and listening to Rap Music.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Gay, daughter Charita Lainer, granddaughter, Sydnel Lawson, grandson Hilary Lanier, great grandson, D'Hasheen Troutman, sisters, Katherine, Amy, Nancy, brothers, Frank, Melvin.

She is survived by her children Diane Maggett, Deborah (Daniel) Yowpp, David Maggett, Jessica (Ted) Turner, Geoffery Maggett, brother, William (Rosie) Baxter, 15 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
