Charles Edward Batie, also known as Chuck, was born to Roy Batie and Hattie Mae Alexander on June 25, 1950, in Corinth, Mississippi.
He left Mississippi and came to Toledo, got a job, and sent for his wife, Edna and his sons. He retired at age 62.
He will be missed by his wife of 52 years, Edna Batie; sons, Charles Franklin Batie and Daryl Batie; daughters, Desiree Bowen (John), Cheryl Batie; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; siblings, Larry Batie (Milindo), Lee Carl Batie (Estella) Stanley, Rudy, Travis, Dexter, Shirley (Ruffen) Billy, David (Elizabeth); two uncles, one aunt, and countless nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends that love and will miss him.
