Obituary for Bobbie C Gist Sr.
Bobbie C. Gist Sr. was born in Huntsville, Alabama on August 23, 1967 to Raymond C. Oden and Jean A. Gist. He was later adopted by James C. Gist. He attended and graduated from Devilbiss High School in Toledo Ohio, and later attended Alabama A&M to major in Culinary Arts, graduated with an Associate’s Degree. Years later he met and married his loving wife, Victoria N. Gist and from this union six children were born and raised as a family.
Bobbie was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bobbie was known for his birthday back yard barbeques every year before he became ill. Bobbie put his Culinary Education and passion for cooking to use as a Chef at various restaurants around the Toledo area.
Bobbie passed away peacefully on July 25, 2020 at Ebied Hospice at Promedica Flower Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his Mother and Father Jean A. & James C. Gist; biological father Raymond C. Oden; Grandparents Arthur Johnson & Mildred Martin; Brothers Raymond C. Oden Jr, Horace Robert Charles Gist Sr., Aunt Doris Smith,; Uncles Horace Johnson and Bobbie Batts.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Victoria N. Gist, children Brandon (Danielle), Kyle, Brittany (Daryl), Bobbie Jr. (Madeline), Kayla (Jesse), Kennedy Gist and Kayleeya Crowder. His ten Grandchildren; Destiny, Dallas A., Dakoda, Carsin, Dallas L. M., Kylen, Cameren, Clayton, Ivy Douglas, Ava Jarvis, and Ka’Miere Crowder. Bothers; Danny, Kelvin (Jacqueline), James, Kenneth (Vary), and Lamontie Gist, Sisters; Monica Gist, Shante Smith and Kinyatta Kyser, His Aunt Etora M. Tapscott(Arvie) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
