Obituary for Betty J Foulkes

Betty Foulkes was born on February 13, 1956 in Coaling, Alabama to the late George Bouyer and Jessie Bouyer. She moved to and was raised in Toledo, since the age of six, where she was baptized at an early age.

Betty graduated from Libbey High School and worked as a cashier at the former Lane Drug Store (Rite Aid) and Krogers. Betty tended bar at local spots, and was briefly employed at So-Fo Foods.

Everyone recognized her by her vibrant and lovely smile. She enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to be with family and friends celebrating holidays, get togethers and birthdays.

She was an avid reader, and you could always catch her reading into the midnight hour.

Her passion was her children and grandchildren. On the day she passed, her first great grandchild was born. She loved them all dearly.

Betty was blessed to have her children that showed their love for moma. They brought her home to care for her, always with her day and night.

Betty departed this life on November 30, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Bouyer and Jessie Bouyer; brothers, Earnie Bouyer; sister, Darlene Walker; brother-in-law, Michael E. Lee

She leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Charles Foulkes Jr., Clinton Foulkes, Taylor Barber; daughter, Tyra (Broderick) Green of Loganville, GA; brothers, Anthony (Ever) Bouyer; sisters, Georgia (Gary) Roscoe; Shanna Lee, all of Toledo, Antoinitta Bryant, Orland, FL, Antoinette (Darian) Riggs, Northport, AL, Jacqueline Shephard, Chicago, IL, brother, Willie Frazier, Bessemer, AL; eight grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
