Autumn Joi Zimmerman was born October 9, 1980 in Toledo, OH to the proud parents, Kendra Zimmerman and Ricky Taylor. She unexpectedly gained her heavenly wings on the morning of Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
She attended Jesup W. Scott High School, Class of 2000 and her hobbies included doing makeup, traveling, cooking, singing, and making her family and friends laugh. To know Autumn, was to love her! She was a woman of confidence, the ultimate life of the party, always straightforward and constantly spoke what was on her mind. Being in her presence you were guaranteed to always be laughing uncontrollably.
Autumn was employed at Genacross Lutheran Services where she worked as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and took care of individuals with intellectual disabilities. During her time at Genacross, she changed the living dynamic of the residents that she cared for. She was particularly fond of one of her residents, who she lovingly referred to as, “her son.”
Autumn was preceded in death by her loving maternal grandparents, Oscar and Verna Zimmerman; paternal grandmother, Bernice Taylor; uncles, Dennis Suttler, Fredrick Suttler, James Lobdale; aunt, Patricia White, cousin Niesha Wilson, and her favorite cousin, Ericka White.
