Arlinar Smith, AKA “Pookie” and “Snooks”, was born in Toledo, Ohio to the union of Mae and Tom Smith Sr. on October 31st, 1954. Arlinar was 65 years of age when she was called home peacefully in her sleep at home. She departed this life on February 19th, 2020, after a long battle with Leukemia which she fought bravely and heroically.

She was a member of the “Marvin Gaye weekend ladies” event that was conducted annually with her loving sisters and she was also a member of the “Hamp’s Alleycat” and “Girls Nite Out” group. She was the life of the party, always with a smile and infectious laugh and feisty personality. Her favorite thing to say when ending a phone conversation with her love ones was “Love You More”

Arlinar was preceded in death by her (father) Tom Smith Sr. (mother) Mae F Smith, (Sister) Sandra Smith and 1 brother, and her loving grandparents, niece (Erica Oliver) and (daughter) Artisha Smith.

She leaves to cherish in her memory, (brother) Tom Smith Jr. (Sisters) Gloria Jean Johnson, Alfrieda Oliver of Toledo, Ohio, Jerine Lawler of Cleveland Ohio, Iris J. Smith of Toledo, Ohio and Queen Victoria Smith of Atlanta Georgia.

She also leaves to cherish Her children Arrin Smith, Artesha Smith, Adrian Smith, Armond Smith, and Arkia Blackman all of Toledo, Ohio. I was the baby girl of my mom's girls. My mom love all of her kids❤. We grows closer over the years. We done a lots together, we watch tv and movies together. She would goes a extra mile by walking or take a bus to get to me that's how much she loves me❤❤ it didn't matter how she was feeling or what she has to do. She just wants to be with me, around me and my baby, her grandbaby. We talked on the phone all the time, we always have serious conversations and we made each other laugh, so hard our stomachs hurts. My mom loves to laugh and always loves to come over my place to cook, for us period and especially on Holidays. I truly will miss her dearly, I am gonna truly missed her beautiful laugh, her beautiful smile, loud n fast talking on the phone with me. I will truly missed her calling me say I am on my way to your place to see you and my grandbaby. My mom were truly blessed and highly favored Thank you so much God for the most best incredible 40+ years with my mom. I will always love you more and miss you dearly.
