Anita Diane Koester passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on March 9, 1975 to Gloria and Archie Smith Jr.
Anita, (Abby to family) was a very intelligent woman, with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and an Associates Degree in Surgical Technology. She loved to read, cook, garden and watching her favorite sports teams, Ohio State, the New Orleans Saints and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Up until her diagnosis she was employed with Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, as a Surgical Tech.
She was a loving wife, of 21 years, to Steven and a doting mother to Marquis, little sister to Eric, Tracy and Toby, and Gloria's baby girl.
She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Smith Jr. and best cousin, Tijuana Linzy.
She will forever be missed by her husband, Steven; son, Marquis; mother, Gloria Smith; brothers, Eric (Rhonda) Marshall and Archie (Kym) Smith III; sister, Tracy (Max) Moran; mother and father-in-law, Larry and Karen Koester; brother-in-law, Scott (Angela) Koester; nephew, Laquan (Kina) Blango-Smith; nieces, Kayla Smith, Skyler Moran, Andrea and Olivia Koester; and great nieces and nephews.
