Obituary for Allen A. Williams

Allen A. Williams "Pete/Peelee" was born on October 15, 1948, in Jackson, MS to the union of Rev. Reuben and Bessie Williams. Allen passed away on March 21, 2020, at the age of 71.

Allen attended Scott High School in Toledo, Ohio. He enjoyed watching hockey, baseball, and enjoyed fishing with his wife. Allen also enjoyed listening to Bobby Womack. Allen worked at Woodaven Plant for 35 years before retiring.

Allen married Sharon D. Mitchell on July 11, 1972, in Toledo, Ohio. To this union one son, Vann, was born.

Allen was an active and faithful member of the End Time Christian Fellowship where he served on the usher board. Before his illness, Allen enjoyed travelling with his wife visiting relatives in Mississippi. He was a generous, kind-hearted, person helping those in need. He was a man of peace, a no nonsense person.

Allen was preceded in death by his father, Pastor Reuben Williams; mother, Bessie Williams; brothers, Charles, Earl and Dr. John; sister, Susan; his son, Allen Sr.; and his grandson, Allen Jacob Jr.

Allen leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 47 years, Sharon D. Mitchell-Williams; sons, Vann, and Christopher; daughters, Gwennetta (Sherrod), Antoinette and Shaunte (Jack); brothers, Dr. Jerry (Joyce), Bishop James (Pastor Coretha); sister,, Dr. Ruby Hunt and Wanda (Tommie). He leaves 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host family and friends.
