Obituary for Alex Day

Alex was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 22, 1989 to Alicia Aiken-Day and Walter Conrad Day. He was proceeded in death by his father, Walter Conrad Day and his brothers Albert Damon Aiken and Wesley Koonce. He is survived by his Mother, Alicia Darlene Aiken-Day. Brothers Alan Cory Aiken (Krystal), Von Koonce (Barbara), and R.C Smith. Sisters Yvonnie Day-Booth, Alicia Aiken-Milbry (Stacey), Shanelle Jones (Bruce) and Alexis Day Gordon (Barry). The loving and fun father of 3 CHILDREN A’miyah Shanelle Day, Alex Brandon Mykal Day Jr. and Aleyah London Day. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family.

Alex was a very loving person with a lot of love to share. His sense of witty and funny humor would light up any room. He graduated from AMI and obtained his license as a Certified Welder. He was always an avid music lover collaborating with his nephews Romeo Cathcart and Trevone Koonce with Kelvin Brank as the hip man using a karaoke machine as children.

Some people see him as Soop-Soop, Superboy or Ace Belvedere. As his Mother, I knew him as my heart. I want everyone to know that he loved his Heavenly Father, his children, and his family. He had a zest for life and a smile that warmed your heart. Alex loved and always wanted to give. Even in this tragedy he has managed to help people he will never meet giving everything including his heart. That’s how much he loved and wanted to over himself to others.
