Obituary for Charles Wesley Craig Sr.

Charles Wesley Craig Sr., age 76, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on November 13, 2007. He was born September 23, 1931, in Liberty, KY, to John Dallas and Anna Craig. He was a 1952 graduate of Libbey High School, excelling in sports as an all city athlete. He was a Golden Glove boxing champion, and employed by Jeep, retiring after 45 years. He was a faithful member of the West Central and Central Congregation's of Jehovah's Witnesses for 37 years, until his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Dallas Craig and Anna Ola (Craig) Hernandez; stepfather Antonio Hernandez; three sisters; one brother, and his son, Lance Eric Craig. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mildred Craig; daughters, Rhonda (Everett) Miller, Alysce (Michael) Putman; sons, Charles Craig Jr., Dirk (Monica) Craig, John Craig; brother, William Craig; sisters, Juanita (Roy) Rice, and Virginia Craig; stepsisters and brother, Loisa Toris, Ola (Henry) Martinez, Carmen Ramirez, and Tony Hernandez; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Family hour will be held at the House of Day Funeral Service Chapel, 2550 Nebraska Ave., Friday, November 16, 2007, from 3 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. and the funeral on Saturday November 17, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 539 Richards Rd., Brother Hugh Collins officiating. The Craig family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio, all the caregivers, nurses and doctor's that took such excellent care of such a wonderful person.
