Obituary for Christopher Lee Shavers

Print
Christopher Lee (Cooter Rock) Shavers, was born to the parents of Charles and Barbara Shavers on October 21, 1973 in Toledo, Ohio. He was the middle child of three children. As a young child he was always
full of joy. His big bright eyes and smile was contagious to everyone he met. Chris found delight in helping others. Chris gave his life to Christ and sung in the Ambassadors for Christ choir at First Church of God, His home church. He also served on the Usher Board. Chris attended First Church of God elementary school where he developed friendships that lasted his life time. He continued his education at McTigue Junior High and there he was part of the Arts Program. He learned to play the Cello and won many awards for his mastery of the
instrument. As he continued his education at Rogers High School, Chris was drawn to sports. There he played football, baseball and advanced his love for music. While attending The University of Toledo, Chris prepared himself to be financially independent, coupling with his career at the Andersons' as a supervisor for over twenty five years. He and his brother Chucky owned and operated their own business “ROCK BOTTOM” which
featured urban wear.

Later in life Chris pursued his love and passion for composing music with sound tracks and he and others thought he was pretty good at it. He was also a collector of classic model cars and an award winning
Arts designer. Chris was a devoted dad and taught his girls virtues such as loving, respect, sharing. He also taught them the priority of homework and education. Chris and his daughters had a special bond and just like
their dad they have a humble spirit. Chris would always apologize when he was at fault. The family loved him for his sincerity. His love will be a chord that will always bind the family together.

Chris leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Alyssa and Emily Shavers; parents, Charles and Barbara Shavers, Brother, Charles "Chucky" (Carmen),Shavers; sister, Melissa "MeMe" Shavers, two nieces, five nephews; two great nieces, and one great nephew and a host of family and friends.
