Obituary for Lois Star Rayfus

Lois Star  Rayfus
Loisteen "Star" Everage-Rayfus was born on January 22, 1960 to Charlestine "MaDear" Chaffin and Thurman "Buddy" Nash in Jackson, Mississippi.

Lois Departed this life on August 22, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Lois was a graduate of Jesup W. Scott High School. She worked at the Northwest Ohio Developmental Center, Darlington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and at the time of her death she was doing private duty.

Lois enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Lois loved her church family; she was an active nurse for Southern Missionary Baptist Church.

Lois was preceded in death by her son, Clifton Rayfus III; her parents and step-father, Harrison Browning.

Lois is survived by her sons, La'Twon and Willie (Santril) Mickles Jr.; brother, Robert Chaffin of Chicago, IL; and sister, Leatha Steen of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Anthony Cooper, Albert Bell, Kamonta Johnson, Kejahna Hayes, Toi Yuan, VyTashia, Shai' yuan, La'Twon, and Dae'Yuan Mickles; two great-grands; special cousins, Michael and Ann.

Lois was loved by many and will be greatly missed by a host of loving family and friends.
