Meror Jean  Hicks
Meror (Mary) Jean Hicks, affectionately known as ``Jean" age 74, passed away after a long illness on August 09, 2018 at Heatherdowns Rehab & Residential Center. She was born in New Madrid, Missouri, on October 08, 1943 to John Henry Hicks, Sr. and Carrie Mae Holivay Hicks.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers and two sisters.

She confessed in Christ at an early age. She moved to Chicago, Illinois after leaving Missouri to start a new life. She was employed at the Sears Tower company for a number of years. She then moved to Toledo, Ohio in the early 70's, working at different jobs and remained active until her health failed. She had a passion for cooking and loved to be around family. She was always giving and helping when family and friends were in need.

Mary is survived by her son Gregory M. Hicks; her brother Tommy Hicks of Toledo. Her sisters-in-law Odessa Hicks and Esther Hicks of Toledo, Ohio; Betty Johns of Chicago, Illinois, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
