Jo Ann  Morrison
Jo Ann Morrison was born Jo Ann Lee in Dothan, Alabama on the 14th day of October 1950 to Ann Russel and Joe Frank Lee. At age two she was adopted by her grandparents, Frank and Sylvia Lee, who raised her as a Christian. She was a member of North Chapel Baptist Church in Dothan. Jo Ann continued to study and enrich her Christian faith throughout her life.
In April 1965, she met her high school sweetheart, RC Morrison Jr. Their courtship endured for several years before they married on September 8, 1970. From this union three children were born; Kerry, Kimberly, and Ryan.
Jo Ann attended public schools from K-12th grade in Dothan, Alabama. She graduated from high school in May 1968. While at George Washington Carver High School. She enjoyed several academic and extracurricular activities. She played clarinet in the band for four years. She was the lead character in several school plays. Her most prized achievement came in 1965 when she advanced to the National Oratorical Championship in Los Angeles, California. She finished 3rd. She also happened to enjoy old fashioned movies, plays, and music.
After graduating from high school, she attended Alabama State University. In later years she attended Stautzenberger College in Toledo, Ohio, where she graduated with an Associates Degree in legal secretary. She was later employed at Family Court in Toledo before moving on to pursue other opportunities.
Jo Ann is survived by her three children; Kerry Elise Power, Kimberly Arlinda Morrison, and Ryan Christopher Morrison. She has one grandchild; Collin Brandon Power. She is also survived by her high school sweetheart and best friend, RC Morrison Jr, who will forever miss her.
