Reba Mae  Abernathy (Boyd)
Reba Mae (Boyd) Abernathy, age 101, of Toledo was called to eternal rest Saturday morning, February 17, 2018 at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence. Reba was born on May 20, 1916, in Carrollton, GA to Oscar and Angeline (Philpot) Boyd.
Reba had been a proud and faithful member of Warren AME Methodist Church since 1938. She loved her church family and serving on the church’s Stewardess Board #1 alongside the Blue Star Mother’s club. Reba will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory loving daughter, Linda Williamson, son, Neal(Terri)Abernathy, daughter-in-law Sheryl Abernathy; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter; Anita Mae Davis (Abernathy), sons; Howard Abernathy I, Edward Abernathy III and Paul Abernathy, brothers; Ralph Boyd and Henry Boyd, sister; Evelyn (Boyd) Farmer. Daughter-in-laws; Cynthia (Butler) Abernathy and Barbara (Coogler) Abernathy, Son-in-law; Archie Williamson Sr.

A very special thank you to caregivers, Denise and Cathy for their love and care of Reba. Thank you to Ebeid Hospice Residence staff for providing Reba with excellent care and support. We greatly appreciate you.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Warren AME Church, 915 Collingwood Blvd, Toledo, OH. Family Hour will begin at 10am. Homegoing services will begin at 11 a.m.. Pastor Otis Gordon officiant.
