Gerald Richard Jones, 82, entered into eternal rest on September 25, 2017. He was born to the late Richard L. and Sara Elizabeth Jones on February 26,1935 in Wilmington OH.

Gerald and his family moved to Toledo, OH when he was a young boy. They attended church and he accepted Christ at an early age. He was employed with Doehler Jarvis for 32 years retiring in 1997. He was elected Union Steward for local 1058. Gerald held this post for many years, representing and defending the interest of his fellow co-workers. He enjoyed hunting with his brother Melvin. For years, Gerald would go and visit the sick at local nursing homes.

He was proceeded in death my his wife of 51 years, Valada A. Jones, brother Melvin Jones; sisters Ruth Elaine Jones and Pearl Russell; daughters Sharlet Denice Jones and Constance Lincoln.

Mr Gerald Jones leaves to mourn his memory sons Richard L Jones Sr, Anthony (Rhonda) Abbott, Martin (Barbara) and Milton Tucker, 27 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great-grand son. Step brother David Blackshear and step-sister Diane Blackshear.
