Obituary for Benjamin Franklin McNeil

Benjamin Franklin McNeil, 93, passed away on May 3, 2017 at Swan Creek Rehabilitation Center. Benjamin will be remembered as a loving and devoted father, grandfather and friend to all. He was born August 26, 1923 to the late Matthew and Vance McNeil. As a graduate of Macomber High School, he went to work as an Auto Mechanic for Rossford Ordnance. After leaving Rossford Ordnance Benjamin started his own business, McNeil & Sons Landscaping. In his free time he loved to fish, garden and can foods. In addition to his parents, 14 brothers and sisters, Benjamin was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Franklin McNeil, Jr. Left to honor his memory are his daughter, Karen Carlisle; grandchildren, Rhonda Houston and Scott Hamer; great grandchildren, Nicole (Tevin) Ford, Ashley Shipes, Damien Shipes and Jaylyn Hamer; great-great grandchildren, Lance Carlton, Nicaya Anderson, Ace Hester and Nijaiya Ford; special friend Annie Kent and a host of neices, nephews and other relatives and friends.
