The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Winfred Fails can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Susan Ramirez Glass
Condolence: I was fortunate to have Mr. Fails for my Algebra II and Senior Math teacher. Such a kind man! Our Sr. Math class only had 10 students, so I would bake cookies for the class and Mr. Fails would share his wisdom on a number of topics (mainly fishing!), always prefacing with, "these cookies don't have any calories, right?" RIP, Mr. Fails....and Thank You!

Condolence: I remember Mr. Fails from his time at Waite High School when he worked with my father, George Konnert. My memories of your father are of a consummate professional, dedicated, soft spoken and always a gentleman. I know you will miss him very much.

Condolence: I have known Fred as a high school basketball player, as a high school basketball coach, and as TFT Union member. Fred had a great sense of humor, a tremendous amount of loyalty, class, and strength. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: Mr. Fails was absolutely one of the best teachers I ever had. I was fortunate enough to have him as a teacher for Algebra II and Senior Math at Waite.

He was an excellent math teacher but also taught us about life. One of his favorite instructions to us was "the better student does more."

He was a kind man but firm and he loved to talk politics.

Rest well, Mr. Fails -- you certainly deserve it.

Condolence: Mr. Fails was one of my favorite teachers, he taught me the basic math schools I needed to be a electronic repairer for the Pershing Missile System. While training in the Army to become a technician I thought of him often how it was him that gave me the basic understanding of algebra which help me successfully complete that training. My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest peacefully in the arms of Lord.

Condolence: So sorry for your loss. I had Mr. Fails when I was a student at Waite HS. Always caring, always there for his students, but no messing around - he took education and his job serious. Was a very good man with a kind heart. Need more teachers and more men like him! Heaven gets an awesome teacher!
