Betty Jean  Davis
Betty J. Davis , 73, of Toledo, OH was peacefully given her wings on Friday Feb. 10, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Betty was born Sept. 25, 1943 in Opelika, Alabama to Eugene and Earlean Peters. She received her Diploma from Jesup W. Scott High School and later received her Bachelors degree in Education from The University of Toledo. Betty taught at Pickett Elementary for 33 yrs, retiring in 1999. In addition to helping mold young minds, Betty enjoyed traveling, bowling, shopping and tutoring in her spare time. She was a longtime member of Jerusalem Baptist Church and a former member on the Usher Board.

Betty was preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Earlean Peters; brothers, William Peter and Edward Peters; former husband, Gene Davis; life-companion, Rosevelt Hampton.

Betty is survived by her one and only son, Anthony Davis; and a host of other family, friend, and relatives.

Memorial Services are Saturday, Feb.18, 2017, 11:00 am at Jerusalem Baptist Church, preceded by 10:00 am wake. (HOD LOGO)
