Obituary for Edward Edison Thompson

Edward E. Thompson, 87, made his transition from this life on, Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Foundation Park of Northwest Oho. Edward was born, July 20, 1929, in Owassa, Alabama, to the union of Robert and Olivia Thompson.

Mr. Thompson migrated to Toledo in 1946, to work in the family business, Texaco Gas Station, located on Dorr St. He retired from Alloyed Foundary and Toledo Building Service.

Mr. Thompson, AKA, "Ed", loved spending time with his family, watching cowboy movies, fishing and boxing. One of his greatest hobbies was cooking, and a great cook he was!

He is survived by his wife, Irene Thompson; children, Roderick Thompson, of Texas, Patsy Haines, of Toledo, OH, Ricky (Rachell) Thompson, of Warrenton, MO, Shakita (Michael) Henderson, of Atlanta, GA, Marquette Jones, and Zacchi Pollard, of Toledo, OH; stepchildren, Elaine Jones, Elvin Miles, and Lamont Hunt; 27 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
