Obituary for Ausby Willard Oliver

Mr. Ausby W. Oliver, passed away peacefully on, Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at his home. He was 70 years old. Ausby was born in Toledo, Ohio, on April 10, 1946, to the union of Milton Oliver, Sr. and Lillian Townsend.

Ausby graduated from Libbey High School, class of 1964. After high school, he enlisted into the US Army, where he served his country in the Vietnam War, he was Honorably Discharged in 1969. Ausby worked for many years with the US Postal Services, retiring in 1996.

Ausby was a man of leisure, he loved to dress to impress. There was not a tennis shoe or a pair of jeans in his closet. His car of choice was a Cadillac. A few of his favorite past times were gambling at Raceway Park, playing the numbers and watching sports on TV. His favorite team was the Cleveland Browns, he was a die hard fan.

He loved his family, there were many family outings like going fishing, and overnight camping, or just taking long rides out in the country. He always had a funny story or a joke to tell, he loved to make people laugh. Ausby was a free spirit, he spoke his mind. If you were in need and asked, he would definitely try to help you out,

Ausby was preceded in death bby his parents; daughter, Patricia Johnson, son, Jeffery Hannah, grandsons, Patrick Johnson and Jaheim Snell, sisters, Robbie Arthur, Emma Oliver, Anne Oliver, and brothers, Milton Oliver, Jr., Bernard Oliver and Erskine Oliver.

Ausby leaves to cherish his memory, devoted wife of 42 years, Delores; daughters, Rosalind (Grady) Snell, Mattie (Teresia) Oliver, Lillian (Nate) Brown, and Ashley Hicklin; daughter-in-law, Darlene Hannah; sisters, Qureda (Mack) Collins, Lynette (Wilbur) Williams; brothers, Lee Floyd Oliver and Aylcis (Marge) Oliver; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.
