Bobby L.  Gittens Jr.
Bobby Lemar Gittens, Jr. (BJ), age 28, passed away suddenly on Saturday September 17, 2016. Bobby was born in Toledo, Ohio to Trina McNeil and Augustine Bobby Gittens. Bobby was one of two children from this union.

Bobby worked various jobs around the city including Honey Baked Ham. He attended Leverette Junior High and Woodward High School. BJ played basketball as a youth, winning trophies for Riverside, Leverette and in REC ball leagues. His favorite pro team was the Cleveland Cavaliers. BJ was known for his great sense of fashion. He was always dressed to impress. He enjoyed being around people. He was happiest being with his family and friends. BJ loved eating, especially Liberian food. At family gatherings BJ could be found with a plate of food, laughing and sharing stories about old times or dreaming about his future.

BJ loved his family, his mom Trina, his sister Kenya and his big brother Kevin. He had a close and loving relationship with all of them. BJ spent a lot of time with his neices and nephews. He also loved and cherished his maternal and paternal grandparents. He will be greatly missed by everyone who loved and knew him.

BJ was preceded in death by his grandfather, Augustine Gittens, grandmother Lauren Michelle McNeil and his precious uncle Kevin Lamont McNeil.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Trina McNeil and Augustine Bobby Gittens; his grandmother Winifred Gittens; his grandfather Burley McNeil; his aunties Gladys Wratee Harris, Lydia Gittens, Laura (Mickey) Gittens, Mapoo Gittens, and Erika Gittens-White; his uncles Victor Harris and Jeffery McNeil; neices Na'Kyla McNeil, ReNiyah McNeil and Da'Mia Ezell; nephews Dashawn Gittens, Mareon McNeil, Julian Gittens, Xavier Ezell, Carmello Gittens and a host of other relatives and friends.
