Raymond "Baby Ray" Young, 81, departed this life on October 23, 2007. He was born to Fred and Olivia Young in Mississippi and grew up in Kansas City, KS. He was the eldest of six children. In his early years he was an outstanding boxer. He worked for Ford Motor Company and retired in the early '90's. He was affiliated with the Amazon Lodge #43 and the Shriner's. Baby Ray is survived by daughter, Rita Young-Moorer of Bessemer, AL; granddaughter, Deja Moorer of Bessemer, AL; brother, Alfred Young of Chicago, IL; many nieces; nephews; special cousin, Herman Thomas and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 29, 2007, at 12:00 noon, preceded by wake at 11:00 a.m. Services will be at The House of Day Funeral Chapel.
