Obituary for Victor Darnell Alexander

Victor Darnell Alexander Sr, affectionately known as ''TONTO'' passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Hospital at the age of 44. Victor was born to David Latham of Jackson, MI & Justine Alexander of Toledo, OH on May 24, 1969. He attended Jesup W. Scott High School graduating in 1987. Victor married his wife Alesia (Manns) Alexander on January 27,1998. They raised 4 children together. Victor, known to many as 'The Love Daddy', found and perfected his passion he found in life for electricity and joined the IBEW Local #8 of Rossford, Oh where he achieved his certificate of completion as a Residential Inside Wireman. Victor was a member of the Pokagon Band of Pogawagomi Indians and also held numerous positions at The Golden Rule Lodge Elks #129 in Toledo, Oh. including Past Grand Exaulted Ruler. In addition to the unconditional love Victor had for his family and close friends, he also enjoyed fishing, listening to music, cooking, traveling and spending time at the lodge. Victor was proceeded in death by his father David; grandparents Charlie & Hazel Latham; sister Devina Alexander, step-father; James Pennemon and brother David Gibson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Mrs. Alesia Alexander; sons Victor Alexander Jr., Bobby & Courtney Nunn; daughters:Teaosha, Devina Alexander and Chantell (Mario) Bryant. Mother Justine Alexander of Florida; Step Mother Ingrid Latham of Jackson, MI. In-Laws:Larry (Edna) Manns; Brother Jaque (Kelly) Short. Sisters: Erica (Eric) Graze, Erinn Harris, Dawn Latham, Cosette, Kimberly Alexander, Charla (Michael) McKinney. Brother-in-laws: Allen (Tracy) Fields, Larry Jr & Brian Manns. Sister-in-laws: Tracy (Andre) Woodson & Kelly Westmoreland. 9 grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, many nephews, nieces and friends. Special father Ben Hester Sr., brothers: Ben Jr. (Robin) & Chad Hester. Sisters: KaTrina (Ronald) Gordon, Andrea Hester, Monica Ensley & Lisa (Chuck) Shepard-Johnson. Special Friends: Stephanie Swan, Doug Keetion, John Swan & Jeff Taylor. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 13, 2013 from 7-9 pm at the House of Day Funeral Home 2550 Nebraska Ave, Toledo, OH. Funeral services to be held on Friday June 14, 2013 at 11:00 am at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 2001 Ashland Ave, Toledo, OH. with Family hour starting at 10:00 am. Pastor Jimmy L. Jordan Jr. officiating. Special thanks to Dr. Kevin Phelps and staff, the ICU and Pallative Care units at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Hospital. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetary Service will be held Friday at 11:00am, wake at 10:00am at Ebenezer Missionary , 2001 Ashland. Visitation will be Thursday from 7:00pm-9:00pm.
