Obituary for Tyea Yvette King

Tyea Y. King, 52, of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2015, at The Ohio State University Medical Center East Campus of natural causes. Tyea is survived by her husband, John E. King of West Virginia. She is also survived by her daughter, Latoya (Carlos) Davis of Columbus, Ohio; her sister, Renee (Jamey) Willis of Atlanta, Georgia; her brothers, Darrell (Regina) Abernathy of Atlanta, Georgia, Herbert (NaKeita) Savage of Orlando, Florida and a host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Tyea was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Ann Savage; her father, James Thomas Abernathy; her stepfather, Herbert “Greasy” Savage; her sister, Angela Miller; her brother, Steven Glaspie; her brother, Joseph “Squeaky” Glaspie, and her nephew, JaVaun Forte. Services will be held Monday, November 2, 2015, at the House of Day Funeral Service, 2550 Nebraska Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43607. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., with funeral services immediately following. The family would like to thank her close family members and friends for their love and support.
